Sugar Top 2102

The condo was Great!! We would HIGHLY recommend! It was clean & adequately furnished. The front desk ladies were GREAT!! The ONLY issue was NOT enough towels. It accommodates 6, but there were ONLY 4 towels. We had 5 people, but had packed pool towels, fortunately. I would stay here Again!!

Upon arrival the staff at the office was friendly We were directed to the guard gate for the unit and to our surprise, we had to wait two hours to get into the unit. They only allow a few vehicles in at a time to unload your car then you have to part in a remote lot and get a shuttle back and forth every time you wanted to go out. This was an inconvenience to say the least. The unit itself was satisfactory but the images display a tv in the second bedroom and when we arrived it was not there. I contacted the office and they were not aware that the tv had been removed. This was a feature we really wanted since we had two kids with us. I politely asked the office if they could ask the owner for a discount due to this false advertising and never received a reply. Poor customer service and would never rent in Sugar Top again.

We stayed at this location at the top of Sugar Mountain the week after Christmas. I do not recommend vacationing at Sugar Mountain during this particular Holiday week (last week of December). The crowds at the resort, on the ski slopes, and in town were equivalent to what you would find at Disney World during summer vacation. The property itself was clean and well furnished with a great view of the mountains (not the ski slope side). The pool, hot tub, and gym were well maintained. The staff was very helpful and professional. The parking was not practical at all. To go anywhere from Sugar Top required a shuttle service. Unfortunately during our stay the Wifi did not work until the last day. One of 2 elevators shut down. The water from the sink was as cloudy as skim milk due to excess minerals. That being said, the staff was always very patient and listened to our concerns doing their best to resolve them. In summary, much of the negative aspects of our vacation here may not have been an issue if we had chosen a week outside of peak season.

The actual views from the resort don’t do photos justice and the drive up wasn’t as precarious as some places we’ve stayed.
The resort was larger than expected and elevators and public areas were very clean.
Checkin was easy and we were glad our condo had an electronic lock instead of having to keep up with a key. This also kept us from needing $10 cash key deposit, which we would have had to go find and atm.

The individual condo had a great view, sleeping and dining space for 6, nice balcony and stocked kitchen. We were glad it had washer/dryer for our ski clothes. It was a bit dated but that didn’t matter, considering it had more of a cabin feel. We had a hiccup with the linens but the rental company more than adequately remedied the situation the next morning.

The pool area was exceptionally clean and was nice for us to sit and watch the kids play. We didn’t have time to use the sauna, steam room or locker rooms but checked them out and were impressed.

We’d rent through RRR and stay at Sugar Tops again!
